We are searching for a process engineer with experience in the production of silicone products.  The process engineer wiil be planning, directing and coordinating silicone manufacturing processes through automation and Lean Six Sigma practices and methodology.

Responsibilities of the Process Engineer - Silicone production

The principal responsibility is to plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes by performing the following duties.

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Work with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Work with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. 
  • Confers with establishment personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Tests ability of machines to perform tasks.
  • Analyzes work study data and equipment specifications to establish time and production standards.
  • Establishes, recommends and implement process documentation.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing departments to address and resolve engineering issues.
  • Develop and document work instructions for each work center.
  • Develop and document BOM (Bill of materials) for all processed products at all process steps.

Requirements for Process Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • 1 to 5 years previous engineering experience in manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of CAD software required.
  • Process analysis skills
  • Automation experience
  • Experience working with outside contractors
  • Program management
